I have been an active Food blogger for three years. Those were the times when I haven’t kept a single cutlery in the kitchen. Everyday, I would dig in various cuisine at different restaurants for my entry. It got to a point when I got carried away by what I was doing that I did not set any limit with what I consume. The practice kept me eating anything, regardless of whether they are healthy or not. Those years were peak but they took a toll on me. I gained 20 kilograms when I quit it.
Food – these days, it’s for likes. We eat it cold as we take photos by the time it arrives. We now eat because it looks good. We now eat out of pleasure.
Food is fuel, it is nourishment. We eat to survive and to be alive. We eat what we need and we eat something that nourishes our body. Perhaps the pandemic caused me to think about what I put in my body. We go back to the basics, where eating out is no longer the norm, when the essence of eating is no longer fancy but beneficial to our health. We go back to earth, to the times when how food should be treated. We go back to taking care of our body by feeding it with life. We go back to the fact that we don’t have to taste everything because not everything is good.
